HDx 高清洗血
Expanded haemodialysis (HDx) 高清洗血 can make a world of difference for patients, clinicians and healthcare systems.
Haemodialysis (HD): when your natural filters need help.
Your kidneys work 24/7 to filter out toxins and excess water from your blood through the production of urine. If you have chronic kidney disease (CKD) at the later stages, your kidneys lose their ability to remove waste and fluid from the body. Harmful waste and fluids accumulate, causing you to feel unwell. When this happens, your doctor might have talked to you about haemodialysis (HD), a renal replacement treatment alternate to peritoneal dialysis (PD) that can help you feel better by using an artificial kidney (dialysis machine).

How does HD work?
During haemodialysis (HD), an HD machine removes a small amount of blood from your body through a needle or catheter. The dialyser in the machine then filters your blood, removing waste, toxins, and excess fluid before returning your filtered blood to your body.
Hemodialysis is done in a clinic 2 to 3 times a week as prescribed by healthcare professionals.

What are the toxins that need to be filtered out during dialysis?
The types of uremic toxins that accumulate in your body when the kidneys are impaired are classified based on their size, as shown in the diagram.
Unlike our natural kidneys, current HD therapy has some limitations in removing large-middle molecule uremic toxins. It is estimated that more than 50 types of large-middle uremic toxins are present in human blood. 1 These large-middle molecules can contribute various health side-effects like inflammation cardiovascular health, restless leg syndrome and other dialysis-related co-morbidities.
Are you suffering from any of these symptoms?
Your current haemodialysis may not be enough.
A change in filter can change your life: getting closer to the power of your natural kidneys with HDx 14-18

During haemodialysis, the dialyser in the HD machine (a filter with thousands of tiny hollow fibres with very small holes) acts as the kidney. Your blood will travel through these fibres, and different sizes of uremic toxins will be filtered out based on the size of the holes on the surface of these fibre membranes.1 HDx is a novel type of HD treatment that uses a new and patented type of dialyser with a fiber membrane which is a step closer to our natural kidneys and designed to target the efficient removal of large-middle molecules. Removing these molecules may keep you healthier, especially if you will be on HD for a number of years.
Filter out more toxins and get more out of life

Expanded haemodialysis (HDx) is a therapy that efficiently removes large-middle molecules15 and may reduce the side effects of conventional HD therapy. 16,17
HDx helps in:
- Alleviating uremic pruritus 3
- Reduce dialysis recovery time and improve perceived fatigue level 13
- Prevent discomfort associated with restless legs syndrome 14
